WELCOME TO THE PROJECT PIPELINE

The Project Pipeline is how we move from idea to finished product, just like professionals managing a big project in the real world. Every step helps you build the skills you need to pitch ideas, stay organized, and deliver amazing work.

Step 1: Think It – Pitch Your Idea

What You Do:

Your first task is to develop and pitch your project idea to me.

This is your chance to explain why your project is worth the green light!

What to Include in Your Pitch:

Use the Project Statement template we’ve already established. This will include:

The Green Light:

If your pitch is clear, creative, and meets the project requirements, you’ll get approval to move forward. Think of it like applying for a job—convince me to "hire" your idea!

Portfolio Step:

Create a Google Site (if you don’t already have one) or add a new tab for this project.

This is where you’ll document everything: your pitch, progress updates, and the final product.

Step 2: Plan It – Map Out Your Work

What You Do:

Once your idea is approved, it’s time to plan your steps. This is called your Scope of Work—a detailed outline of how you’ll make your idea a reality.

What to Include in Your Plan:

A timeline with key milestones.

A list of tools and resources you’ll need.

Your goals for each week of the project.

Why This Matters:

Just like in a real job, your plan is the contract for how you’ll work. It shows you know what you’re doing and have a strategy to stay on track.

Portfolio Step:

Add your Scope of Work to your project’s tab on your Google Site.

Step 3: Make It – Work Every Day

What You Do:

This is where the hard work happens! Every day, you’ll work on your project and earn your 10 points a day for staying focused and productive.

What to Include:

Portfolio Step:

Use your project tab on your Google Site as your "work diary." Keep it updated with your progress so I can check in at any time.

Step 4: Show It – Present Your Work

What You Do:

When your project is finished, it’s time to showcase your effort and creativity.

You’ll present your final product to the class (or other audiences) just like professionals present to clients or teams.

What to Include:

Your finished product.

An explanation of your process—how you went from idea to completion.

What you learned along the way.

Portfolio Step:

Add the final version of your project to your Google Site tab, along with any presentation materials.

Step 5: Assess It – Reflect and Improve

What You Do:

After creating your presentation, you’ll reflect on the process and results. This is your chance to think about what worked, what didn’t, and how you can grow for the next project.

Why This Matters:

Reflecting on your work helps you build confidence and learn from your experiences.

Portfolio Step:

Add a reflection section to your Google Site tab where you answer:

Why This Portfolio System is Important

For Students: Your Google Site is your professional portfolio. It shows not only your final work but the process and effort behind it. Keeping it updated is part of your responsibility as a creator.

For Parents: This system helps students stay accountable and allows you to see their progress in real time. Their Google Site will serve as a showcase of their growth and creativity throughout the year.
